Bayou Witch
In the 2025 Halloween Season we joined some Dark Allure – Photo Workshops with Fine Art Photographer Candice Ghai and Brand Photographer Sanjay N. Patel (Eleven ATX Creatives) at “The Budio”, a Photostudio in Buda, TX.
The Artists / Hosts / Models:

Candice Ghai – the Host – is a professional Fine Art Photographer from Austin. Her works themed in fashion, history and especially mysteries, are published in Magazines (among others PhotoVogue, VOGUE ITALIA, or Bizarre Magazine) and won awards for exceptional quality and impact.
Sanjay N. Patel – Creative – is a Commercial and Brand Photographer and Design Creative from Austin, TX. He produces Hollywood quality works for clients like USAA, DELL, ALCON, SPRINT, or KEURIG, for example Product photos, websites for movies and or book covers. He is super detailed and a perfectionist, and so was working with him.
Sabra Johnson (Sabra Saint Sin) – Model – with her roots in Louisiana made her a perfect model for the “Bayou Witch” workshop. She is an internationally renowned model, actress, and burlesque artist, and currently lives in Austin, TX.
Celina-Marie Kuehne was our photographer on this event and captured amazing images.
The Workshop
The “Bayou Witch” got the Setup in a green look with Bayou and nature based props to bring the witchy mood out. Due to her Louisiana background was model Sabra Saint Sin in her element. With her red hair and performer attitude she made a great fit for that role. We shot two rounds each and got amazing results. The first part was primarily the planned classic Bayou witch scene, in which props such as black crows, glass balls, alligator heads or skulls were used, while Sabrina posed around a bubbling and misty witch’s cauldron.

Behind the scenes…
Setting the Set up with the witch props was a lot of fun, as well as communication with the hosts and the other photographers…

When Sabrina’s boyfriend Sterling finally arrived with his white hearse, ostensibly to pick her up, he was spontaneously included in the photos, resulting in some cool shots reminiscent of the well-known painting “American Gothic.” Okay, since Sterling fit the bill perfectly, it was a lot of fun.
